Share more than words in a chat.
Send photos, videos and files up to 25 MB each, up to 10 at a time:
- choose + next to the message box,
- drag files onto the conversation, or
- paste an image straight into the message box.
Files are stored encrypted and only the people in the chat can open them. Deleting a message for everyone removes its files too. Files over 25 MB go through Drive: see Big files and Drive in Pinglar.
The smiley button opens emoji, our own stickers, and GIFs. GIF search is provided by KLIPY, a GIF service. Your searches go through our server, so KLIPY gets the words you search for, which GIF you send and an anonymous ID, not your email address or IP address. When a GIF is shown, your device loads it from KLIPY's servers. The Privacy Policy has the details. To send a GIF saved on your device, attach it with + like any other photo.
A nudge gives the other person's window a little shake and a short sound. Find it under +. You can nudge once every 20 seconds.
When you send a link, Pinglar shows its title and a short description. Our server fetches it, so the site never sees your address.
