Meet Pinglar: chat, calls and stories, now at pinglar.com too
- Chat in Viremail is now called Pinglar. A chat message is a ping, and the shake that gets someone's attention is now called Nudge.
- Pinglar has its own home at pinglar.com. Sign in with your Viremail account and you go straight to your chats, with the same pings, calls and stories as in Viremail.
- Your passkeys work on pinglar.com as well. Apps for iPhone and Android are on their way, on the same account.
Viremail for desktop is now Bagpipper
- The desktop app has a new name and a new icon: Bagpipper. It brings Viremail, the Krodium browser and more together on Mac, Windows and Linux, and you still sign in with Viremail.
- Your data, settings and sign-ins move across when Bagpipper starts for the first time.
- Download Bagpipper at bagpipper.com/download. The Store is now the Bagpipper App Store, inside Bagpipper and at bagpipper.com/store.
Launch: landing pages that bring in leads
- Launch is a new app for landing pages. Build a page from blocks, pick one of eleven themes, start from a template for software, an agency, a local business, an event, a product launch or a free guide, and publish it on a free address.
- Forms on your page keep every entry, and with Viremail Business each one becomes a lead in Leads.
- Launch Pro, $10 a month, puts your pages on your own domain and takes off the Viremail line.
- Find Launch in the app launcher, and add it to the side bar if you like.
New names, and a tidier side bar to start with
- Virefly is now Krodium. It is the same calm browser in the desktop app, with your tabs, bookmarks and sign-ins just as you left them.
- Canvas is now Pintas, and Fields is now Forms. Your designs and forms are unchanged, and old links still open them.
- New accounts start with Mail, Vire, Krodium, Tasks, Pintas, Write, Grid, Deck, Forms, Drive, Calendar, Vault, DeepClean and Settings on the side bar. Other apps are in the launcher, and a side bar you arranged already stays as it is.
Help is an app, and one menu for your accounts
- Help has its own app on the side bar, just above Settings, and in the desktop app too. One search finds guides, apps and what they can do, settings and keyboard shortcuts, with the words people use, like 2fa or spreadsheet.
- Your photo at the top right is now the one menu for your account: light or dark, Help, your other accounts, adding one, Lock and Sign out.
- The nine dots sit right after the Viremail logo, as one piece.
Sign in with Viremail
- Use your Viremail account to sign in to other apps and websites that show the Sign in with Viremail button. You see what each app asks for before you agree: your name and photo, your email and, if you choose, your business.
- Apps never see your mail, files or password, and each company gets its own private ID for you, so companies can’t follow you between apps.
- Settings, AI and connected apps lists every app you signed in to, and you can remove one at any time. The first sign-in to a new app shows up in your notifications.
- For developers: standard OpenID Connect, SDKs for JavaScript, Node and React, and a developer portal at viremail.com/developers. The docs are at viremail.com/developers/docs.
